About The Tutor
I was a struggling student for my entire school career, I was diagnosed with ADHD early in life but was never medicated for it. I could not sit still or focus when I was in class growing up and this drastically effected my grades and self image. I was convinced that I was “bad at school” and gave up trying in school. It wasn’t until my senior year of high school that I learned about psychology and how to learn in different ways. I thought I was never going to go to college but from the help of my family and psychology teacher I went to community college. It was here that I started working hard at my academics and learned strategies that would help me learn. I also became a gymnastics coach when I was in community college and fell in love with helping kids learn. After I relearned how to learn in community college I was in undergrad at UCSB. This is where I dedicated myself to learning how to learn and found ways of helping myself and others around me learn. I loved psychology and supporting the youth so I decided to get my masters in the field of education.

Graduated from Yorba Linda High School class of 2019. Took my first psychology class and fell in love with how the mind worked.

Graduated from Santiago in 2021. My community college experience is what really inspired me to dedicate my life to understanding how humans think.

Graduated from UCSB class of 2023 with a Bachelors of science in Psychology and brain sciences. During my undergraduate studies, I studied the mechanisms of human learning. This knowledge sparked my commitment to creating an environment conducive to learning for the next generation of students.
